Senior Dredging Engineer

Essential Job Functions

  • Undertaking various consultancy tasks, including:
  • maintaining effective communication;
  • providing engineering services for dredging works;
  • processing, analysing and visualising data;
  • providing project management services;
  • contributing to procurement activities;
  • researching literature; and
  • assisting in planning and scheduling.
  • Providing precise, concise and clear reports
  • Estimating production rates using i2D’s tools
  • Timely, high-quality deliverables
  • Monitoring dredging operations
  • Assisting clients in tender preparation
  • Hazard identification and safeguard development
  • Preparing compelling proposals
  • Python tool development or willingness to learn

Responsibilities

  • Using technical knowledge in dredging
  • Adhering to company procedures
  • Maintaining current technical skills
  • Supporting project objectives
  • Upholding HSE and legislative safety
  • Upholding i2D’s values
  • Building long-term client relationships

What You Will Bring

  • Bachelor’s or higher in Civil or Mechanical Engineering
  • Perth-based with travel willingness
  • 3+ years in marine construction/dredging
  • Independent and pressure-resilient work style
  • Preferably contractor-side experience
  • Experience in OHS, Environmental and Quality systems
  • Strong interpersonal communication
  • English fluency, other languages a plus
  • Estimating and project management experience
  • Analytical and problem-solving strengths
