Director & Principal Dredging Engineer

Founder Simon brings more than 20 years’ experience in dredging engineering. After starting his career at Van Oord and later supporting major LNG projects in Australia, he founded in2Dredging in 2016. He combines deep technical expertise, academic insight and international field experience with expert knowledge of dredging methods, performance and project delivery.

Sandra Gyles

Operations Director

Co-founder and Operations Lead, Sandra brings more than 20 years’ experience in business management and operations. She oversees i2D’s financial, HR, compliance and corporate functions, including audits and governance. With strong organisational and multilingual skills, she also supports business development, client relationships and i2D’s international network of consultants.

Grace Dennis

Business Manager

Grace is an experienced business administration and IT professional with extensive expertise in office management, document control, project coordination and IT support. At i2D, she has played a key role in business operations, client documentation and the development and successful ISO certification of the company’s integrated QHSE management system.

Glenn is a highly experienced business development professional with over 38 years in the dredging, offshore, marine infrastructure and onshore contracting industries.  Having worked extensively across Asia, the Middle East, Europe and South America, he has developed broad expertise in crewing, logistics and stakeholder engagement.

Greg is a dredging and marine construction professional with over 40 years’ experience across major dredging, offshore and civil infrastructure projects. He brings extensive expertise in dredging operations, marine drilling and blasting, pipeline systems, breakwaters and project management across Australia and the Asia-Pacific region.

Lead Dredging Engineer

Marine Consultant with over 15 years’ international experience, Valerie specialises in offshore, coastal, and estuarine infrastructure projects. Her expertise spans dredging engineering, environmental monitoring, impact assessments and oceanographic studies. She brings a unique blend of technical and environmental insight to every project.

Shameeka Nanayakkara

Senior Dredging Engineer

With over 9 years’ engineering experience, Shameeka has worked on marine and pipeline construction projects. Known for her creative thinking and proactive problem-solving, she ensures smooth project delivery. Her strong coordination skills and adaptability drive consistent results in challenging environments.

Adi is a marine and civil engineering professional with over 12 years' experience specialising in dredging, land reclamation, and port and coastal infrastructure projects.  He has developed strong capabilities in engineering design, feasibility studies and project execution through roles at Royal Haskoning and Boskalis.

With over 17 years’ experience in marine and dredging project management, Marcel has led complex international projects for both contractors and governments. As a project manager he is recognised for his ability to inspire and coordinate project teams, ensuring that even the most challenging projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Joost began his career at Boskalis, estimating and optimising dredging projects worldwide and training crews with simulator technology. He later joined VBMS, refining offshore trenching calculations and logistics modelling. As a technical innovator, he also developed the Multiped data platform for real-time offshore monitoring.

He brings extensive expertise in site characterisation, geohazard assessment, foundation design, and subsea pipeline and cable routing for projects worldwide.

Paul is an offshore survey professional with over 39 years’ experience, including 19 years as a Survey Consultant. He brings extensive expertise in hydrographic and engineering surveys, offshore positioning, rock dumping, dredging, pipeline installation and ROV operations across Australia, New Zealand, Southeast Asia and the Middle East.
