On Friday, 21 August 2026, in2Dredging (i2D) celebrated
an important milestone, 10 years of adding value in dredging.
The anniversary celebration was held at our
Bayswater office in Perth. It brought together the i2D team, clients, industry
colleagues, partners and friends who have been part of our journey. The
afternoon provided an opportunity to reconnect, reflect on where in2Dredging
started and celebrate how far the company has come.
A Decade of in2Dredging Growth
i2D began in 2016 as an independent consultancy specialising in dredging estimation and specialised dredging engineering services. Over the past 10 years, the business has grown into an internationally recognised dredging consultancy, providing specialist expertise across Australia and internationally.
A significant milestone along the way was achieving certification in 2021 to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001. This achievement reflects i2D's commitment to quality, environmental and safety management.
Today, our dredging consultancy services cover a broad range of specialist areas. Our expertise includes dredging engineering, dredging estimation, project management, environmental services and expert witness services.
Our growth has also been supported by the continued development of our proprietary analytical dredging tools. These tools use data-driven approaches to assess dredging estimation, production, hydraulic transport and environmental performance. Their capabilities help us develop practical and fit-for-purpose dredging solutions tailored to the specific needs of our clients.
Celebrating the People Behind the Journey
The anniversary was not only an opportunity to look back at in2Dredging's development. It also provided an opportunity to recognise the people and relationships that have made the journey possible.
From a single project in 2016, i2D has developed a diverse international team of dredging engineers, consultants and technical specialists. Just as importantly, we have had the privilege of working with clients and industry partners across the dredging, ports, resources, renewable energy, government, consulting and legal sectors.
The celebration included a short presentation by Director and Principal Dredging Engineer, Simon Burgmans. The presentation looked back at i2D's first decade and ahead to the opportunities that lie beyond it. As part of the presentation, Simon shared a video mapping i2D projects undertaken over the past 10 years. The video illustrates the geographic reach of the company's work across Australia and internationally. Watch the video below to see where i2D has worked during its first decade.
